Thai Shrimp Lime Fried Rice

Do you still need another alternative of fried rice? hohoho, I’m kind of person who easy to get bored. Well, I got another lesson for alternative to cook fried rice. This time, i wanna share the recipe of Thai Shrimp Lime Fried Rice, basically. However, if you see in detail of this recipe, you can find out how to make shrimp fried rice as well, with special condition. 😀 Curious? Let’s start cooking!

Well, you know, the different ingredient for this fried rice is the cilantro which also known as coriander. We will use the cilantro to cook this recipe. Most of Thai foods use cilantro inside the dish. However, not all people will like the strong taste of cilantro. Thus, i will make it optional. If you like the taste of cilantro, then you cook “Thai Shrimp Lime Fried Rice”, otherwise you cook “Shrimp Lime Fried Rice”. Simple. Choose which one you like, then cook! 😀

Thai Shrimp Lime Fried Rice
Thai Shrimp Lime Fried Rice

 

Ingredients:

2 porsi nasi
2 plates of rice

3 ukuran sedang udang yang sudah dibersihkan
3 medium size of peeled shrimp, diced

2 siung bawang putih, cincang
2 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 siung bawang merah, cincang
1 clove of shallot, chopped

1/4 buah bawang bombay, potong dadu
1/4 of onion, diced

1 buah paprika hijau ukuran sedang atau 5 buah paprika kecil, potong dadu
1 medium bell pepper or 5 pieces of baby bell pepper, diced

1 buah jamur putih, iris-iris
1 piece of white button mushroom, sliced

1 buah telur ayam
a piece of egg

2 sdm kecap ikan
2 tbspn fish sauce

1 sdm minyak zaitun
1 tbspn olive oil

1 batang daun ketumbar, cincang
cilantro aka coriander , chopped

1/2 buah jeruk nipis, peras airnya
1 lime (use a half), squeeze it 

Flavoring:
garam dan merica secukupnya
salt and white pepper

Optional
bubuk cabai secukupnya (untuk penggemar pedas, bisa juga dari irisan cabai rawit)
chili powder if you like spicy

1 buah sosis sapi, iris-iris (atau bakso juga boleh)
1 piece of beef sausages, sliced (additional meatball is allowed) 

How to cook:

  1. Tumis bawang merah, bawang putih, dan bawang bombay hingga harum
    Saute garlic, shallot, and onion, until the smells comes out.
  2. Masukkan telur, orak-arik.
    put the egg into the pan, scramble it.
  3. Masukkan udang, tumis dan aduk rata sampai matang
    Put the shrimp, saute and mix it until cooked
  4. (optional) Masukkan jamur, sosis (atau bakso), tumis dan aduk rata sampai matang
    (optional) Put the mushroom, beef sausage (or meatball), saute and mix it until cooked
  5. Masukkan paprika, tumis hingga matang
    Put the bell pepper in, and saute until it cooked
  6. Masukkan nasi, aduk rata.
    Put the rice into the pan, mix it. 
  7. Tambahkan garam, merica, secukupnya sampai rasa yg diinginkan
    Add salt, pepper (adjust to your taste*)
  8. Tambahkan minyak zaitun dan kecap ikan (tambahkan sesuai selera bila kurang sedap)
    Add olive oil and fish sauce (adjust to your taste*)
  9. Tambahkan air perasan jeruk nipis
    Pour the fresh squeeze lime. 
  10. Masak hingga matang.
    mix it until cooked. 
  11. Matikan kompor, masukkan daun ketumbar, aduk rata sekitar 2 menit
    Turn off the stove, put the coriander, mix it for 2 minutes.
  12. Finished

Voila! your fried rice ready to serve. Happy tummy! ^__^

for garnish:

(optional)
5 medium size of shrimp. Saute it with salt and pepper, until cooked. (don’t cook it too long)
Put it on top of a plate of fried rice. 🙂

Note:
adjust to your taste means you can put the flavor little by little until you find the taste that suit you.
